Kwality Shutters is a Small – Scale Industry manufacturing Hydro – Mechanical Equipment for the Government of Tamil Nadu. Kwality Shutters is located at Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu. Tiruchirapalli is one of the fastest growing cities in Southern Tamil Nadu and has well developed infrastructure facilities.
The company was established in 1992. Mr. Athappan Sundaram carries out all activities regarding the business, He is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and has hands – on working experience of about 20 – 30 years in Small – Scale Industries.

Ultrasonic Flaw Detector
Inspection of rolling edges in raw material plates and castings with flat probes and to find out welding defects using angle probes.
Welding Inspection Equipment
Quality check in welded areas using Ultrasound Test,liquid / dye penetrant inspection and using magnetic particle inspection – prod type.
Surface Treatment Instruments
The surface preparation on mild steel is verified using digital surface profile gauge conforming to ASTM D 4417 – method B and then the anti-corrosive preventive coatings are measured with coating thickness gauge.
Rubber Testing Lab
Testing of rubber seal with universal tensile testing machine, Hot air oven and Shore- A hardness tester as per Indian standards – IS 3400 (Methods of test for vulcanized rubber) and IS 15466 (Rubber seals for hydraulic gates – specification).

Managing Director
Mr. Athappan Sundaram
Athappan Sundaram, a consistent learner, hails from a traditional town of Sirukooldalpatti in Sivaganga District.
He is a leader by example and has represented Tamil Nadu in NCC at Republic Day Parade in Delhi in 1977 and has also commanded the college NCC contingent in 1982 as a senior under officer.
He grew from scratch due to his hard work and consistency in operations. Though a graduate in Mechanical engineering, he is an excellent human being with great managerial skills.
The company, he has built with strong foundation with many staff still serving since inception.
With a flair for genuineness and work ethics, and dreams to grow beyond state geography, he is sure of making Kwality shutters one of the leaders in manufacturing Hydro mechanical equipments very soon.
